A family of sites built to 2026 principles: the Consultiqe firm platform and this AVB portfolio, one token-driven system, designed and built in collaboration with AI, directed and overruled where judgement demanded.

The Build

I am not a developer. I know what a brief should feel like, where the standard sits, and when something is not good enough; AI supplied the code. What used to sit between the intention and the artefact was a developer; what sits there now is a specification precise enough to build against. That is what low-code delivery runs on, and two production sites are the evidence.

The System

One token block drives both sites. Ten pages, no framework, no build step: the suite reads with JavaScript off and honours reduced-motion. AI produced options at every layer, each adopted, redirected or declined on merit.

Judgement Call

Range is harder than a house style. One signature look applied everywhere is quicker to produce and easier to defend, but it serves the designer rather than the brief. Consultiqe is restrained because a regulated firm needs to look accountable; the Pinucci storefront was fashion-led because the brief was fashion. Same discipline, deliberately different outcomes.

What this demonstrates

  • Two sites on one token-driven design system, no framework
  • Progressive enhancement: fully functional with JavaScript off, reduced-motion honoured
  • Range across two eras and toolsets: Shopify, Magento and POS at Pinucci, token-driven static now
  • Case studies built as animated showcases, every exhibit recreated rather than screenshotted
  • AI collaboration as a directed dimension of the build, not the whole of it

The Outcome

Two live sites on one token system: content is the product and the skin is replaceable, which is why a colour change is a token edit rather than a rebuild. The argument is made in code rather than asserted, and you are reading it.
